We go through paper towels like water around this house. My husband uses them as a tissue (especially now with allergies), I always have puddles of water to clean up after I do dishes, and let's face it, kids aren't the cleanest eaters in the world, so I have to use one on them to clean them up. It made sense for me to buy a pack of Bounty DuraTowels because of all this craziness.
Besides the price and amount that you get in a roll for that price, I hardly see a difference between these and other paper towels. They are a tad bit stronger, but Bounty is known for their strength, even with their Basic line. They don't get as soaked as easily as other towels while I'm wiping up a wet mess, so that's good. But really, I don't see the point in spending that much on paper towels. Their big packs of the regular ones work just fine for me.
Pros
- Strong
- Doesn't soak as easy while cleaning a wet mess
- No streaks while cleaning
Cons
- Pricey for the little amount that comes in a pack
- Nothing that sets them apart from the others
Reviews of products that I try. Some I get complimentary from Influenster and others I just do on my own if I feel people need to know about them.
I am not paid to do any of these reviews and I am doing them on my on will. I am not affiliated with any of these companies and receive no monetary compensation for doing these reviews. This is just a hobby.

I agree with your comments above, but have noticed one additional drawback to DuraTowel. They smell fishy when wet. I use paper towels to cook as well as to clean. I drained some tofu on a stack of DuraTowels, and I swear the tofu even tasted fishy. What's up with the smell?
ReplyDeleteWow! I didn't notice that interesting feature. Thank you for sharing!
